John E. Mahan

John E Mahan - Attorney Ellijay Georgia

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, John received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee and graduate degree from the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Public Administration. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the Atlanta Law School and was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1982.

His practice areas include Real Property Law, with his primary focus in residential and commercial real estate closings, title issues and real estate litigation. John has conducted numerous presentations and training programs for Realtor groups, Lenders & Community groups in the areas of Real Estate and Estate Planning.

His practice area also includes Personal Injury, Wills, Trusts, Probate, including guardianships and conservatorships, and Business formation.

He has served as Guardian Ad Litem in the Superior Court and Probate Court of Gilmer County. He currently serves as The County Administrator for the Gilmer County Probate Court and is also serving as the Public Defender for the City of Ellijay.

Rebecca Kendrick - Attorney Ellijay Georgia
Rebecca Kendrick joined Mahan and Associates, Attorneys at Law in December, 2014.

A native of Blairsville, Georgia, she graduated from the University of Georgia with honors then finished in the top of her class from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2008.

Before joining Mahan & Associates, Rebecca had six years of comprehensive real property law experience.

In addition to her real estate practice, Rebecca practices in the areas of divorce and family law as well as estate planning and workers’ compensation. She has represented the Department of Child Support Services where valuable experience was gained through navigating Georgia’s child support laws.
